That is just how people identify as, Tunisians look nothing like middle eastern, they have a Maghrebi look and so do other Maghrebis, I know you want to be an Arab so bad, but the real Arabs don't like you, no need to be something you aren't when you can be proud of your origins. Tunisia is a country with a long history, no need for the Arabs, the French or who ever else to overwrite who we are.

on the contrary, the term MENA reflects realities more than the term “Arab world” which is too reductive. The term MENA highlights a distinction between North Africans (Amazigh) and Middle Easterners (who are not all Arabs), but while not denying the deep cultural and social ties that unite these two regions: languages Afro-Asian, Islam for more than a millennium, different but similar traditions and customs. To conclude, the term MENA is correct, because it highlights ethnic and regional diversity while taking into account the deep ties that unite these two regions.

This is a great idea. Another way for those in Belgium and Europe to learn Tamazight is to use the free World Schoolbooks app. It allows learners to learn Tamazight in Dutch, French, German, English, etc.

Throughout history, the North African countries were never united under the so-called “Tamzgha region”….the term is new and it was coined in late seventies to combat Arabization in the region. You can not divide North Africa and the middle east. It’s impossible. Both regions share lots of things in common: religion, language, history to mention a few. Personally, I consider myself an Arab even if I was born and I grew in Morocco. Majority of Moroccans are very proud to be Arabs and they are ready to preserve the heritage of their ancestors.

first of all let to see that durant our standing in spain .especialy in barcelona city .lahcen and other person .we attempted to show our culture and identity,we participated in many activities in the city .but the big depart was in the 2000.the church siting.in this moment we have in contact with the whole university in barcelona pompou fabra. autonoma……..this a little history to know how we paved yhe way for many migrant to show their awarenss about the amazigh identity.after lahcen and begin to song in amazigh about new life in spain.with the big gap betewen our daily life in the south with modern life in catalonyia.
