Detained Ait Mzab leader Dr Kamel Fekhar leaves jail for hospital

August 4, 2015 (GHARDAIA) | The leader of Mozabite national council and The Member of the Algerian League for the Defence of Human Rights, Dr Kamel Fekhar, has been transferred from his prison to a Hospital in Mnea city following a significant deterioration in his health.
Alegerian authorities arrested Kemal Fekhar last July in Ghardaia after publicly denouncing the Algerian regime and accused its forces of committing genocide against Amazigh community in Ghardaia.
Dr Fekhar was detained in Ghardaia prison along with other Amazigh Militants  who are currently being jailed in separate isolation cells.
