In an interview published on October 7 by the Belgian newspapers, “La Libre Belgique”, the Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration, Mr Theo Francken, has accused Morocco of numerous violations of human rights over the last years.
The Moroccan reaction to the accusation was quick via its embassy in Belgium, Morocco expressed its “deep protest and condemnation following the statements of the Belgian Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration,” . Morocco went on to request an official explanation from the Belgian government.
