Judicial authorities in Belgium ordered the expulsion of the radical Moroccan-Dutch Imam “El Alami Amaouch”, — also known as Alami abu Hamza— After he appeared on a video on the internet calling for cutting the tongue and legs of Ahmed Assid, a prominent Amazigh activist who is known for his support of secularism in Morocco .
His expulsion order was signed by a judge on early November, 2017 according to a police report, which said there was “evidence the Moroccan Imam’s views were deemed a threat to public security ” .
Belgium’s state secretary for asylum and migration has confirmed that Alami abu Hamza had left voluntarily the Belgian territory landing in Morocco on November 29, 2017, only four weeks after he received a voluntary leave order by the Belgian court.
