In a TV interview with the Qatari media network Al Jazeera, the leader of the Front for Justice and Development (FJD) Abdallah Djaballah, insisted that the Amazigh flag that the Kabyles people are constantly raising during the waves of protests is a grave danger to the national unity in Algeria, and that the Algerian state must intervene definitively to put an end to the process of excessive cultural and identity demands in Kabyle region.
Then days later— on a different interview with “Le temps” Times, newspaper — he added, ” The officialisation of Tamazight language is another serious threat to the Arabic Language”.
