Morocco: 10-Year-old Commits Suicide Over School Supplies

A 10-year-old student, studying in the 5th grade committed suicide by hanging after his parents refused to buy him school supplies. Ahmed Aarab was found hanging at his home in a small village near the city of Ifrane, Morocco. Mother said he had demanded  to immediately buy him school supplies required to go back to school.. But they refused because they could not afford the cost due  the family’s financial situation.

Before the poor boy committed suicide, he left a farewell letter in which he apologized to his mother for his suicide, and explains that he could not go to school without school supplies.
