Morocco Sentences 25 Rif Activists to 18 Months in Prison

Today, the court of first instance in Al Hoceima has handed down a sentence of 18 months in prison for  twenty-five protesters and suspected activists of the Rif  popular movement in northern Morocco.

A total of thirty-two men have appeared in court, 25 of them sentenced to prison time while the other seven were given suspended sentences and fined. says defense attorneys, Mr Mouhamed Ziane.
