This project, which is planned to start by the end of the year, is aiming to revitalize Tifinagh script and changes will also include cities/towns names, and tourism destinations, including historic and natural sites in Nalut and surrounding areas in future.

Located about 270 km south east of Tripoli, in the western end of the Nafusa Mountains, Nalut is one of the districts of Libya, mainly inhabited by the indigenous Amazigh population. Some of the best preserved Amazigh granaries and castles are found in Nalut, which attract a large number of tourists, in their way to mythical Ghadames, including Nalut Old Castle.
