Boston – Sept 20, The Grammy Award-winning, Tinariwen, is a group of Amazigh Tuareg nomad musicians from the Sahara Desert region of north Africa, formed while its members were living in exile in Algeria in the 1970s as part of the Tuareg rebel community there, the band are icons of freedom and resistance, and their songs are often about peace, freedom and Amazigh Tuareg struggle.
