The New York Forum of Amazigh Film (NYFAF) is set to return for its 11th edition on April 23, marking one of the most anticipated cultural gatherings in the Amazigh diaspora calendar.

This year’s edition, themed “Exploring Tamazgha,” will bring together filmmakers, artists, musicians, and members of the community in a celebration of Amazigh identity, creativity, and cultural expression.

The program features a curated selection of Amazigh films from across Tamazgha and the diaspora, highlighting the diversity, depth, and evolution of contemporary Amazigh storytelling and artistic vision. The full lineup is available on the official event flyers.

Beyond film screenings, the event will include a live Gnawa music performance and a cultural reception featuring traditional Amazigh food and beverages, offering attendees an opportunity to connect and engage in a shared cultural experience.

Organizers describe the forum as more than a film event, emphasizing its role as a space for dialogue, cultural pride, and solidarity. The gathering seeks to celebrate a living heritage that continues to thrive across continents and generations.

The event will take place at the Little Theater, LaGuardia Community College and is free and open to the public.

Organizers are encouraging community members and supporters to help spread the word and promote participation.
