Amazigh Chaoui Activist Detained at Algerian Airport

Algerian authorities arrested Amazigh-Chaoui activist Salim Yezza as he was trying to board a flight at Biskra Airport on Saturday, July 14th, 2018.

The arrest came after court issued a warrant against him for criticizing the Algerian state crimes against people of the Mzab.

Salim was trying to make his way back home to France after attending his father’s funeral who passed away from serious injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
