Event to Pay Tribute to Matoub Lounes In Boston

Boston – Twenty one years ago on June 25, 1998, Matoub Lounes, one of the most well-known Amazigh singers and poet in North Africa, was murdered near his home town in Tizi Wezzu in Algeria by regime thugs.

To commemorate his legacy, the Boston Kabyle Community is planning a tribute event on Saturday, June 29th from 5pm to 8pm at Veronica Robles Center located at 175 Mcclellan Highway in Boston, Ma 02128.

The event will include documentary films, quizzes and prizes and a live Amazigh music performed by “Tharwa n Tlelli” band of Boston. Coffee and refreshments will be served during the break. Admission is free but donations are welcome. [ads2]
