Kabylie (AWN) | Hocine Ait Ahmed, one of the historical leaders of Algeria’s struggle for independence against France colonial, Founder of The Socialist Forces Front (FSS), (Tamazight: Tirni Iɣallen Inemlayen (RƔN) and then a longtime opposition figure, died in Lausanne, Switzerland on Wednesday December 23rd, 2015 .
Hocine Ait Ahmed will be buried according to his wishes in his hometown in Ait Ahmed village, At Yahia, in Kabylie.
Following the announcement of his death, the Gouvernement Provisoire Kabyle (GPK) and Movement for the Autonomy of Kabylie (MAK) decreed an official three days of mourning period in Kabylie.
