Merzouga

The Merzouga international festival is held every year in the Sahara desert and seeks to promote peace and tolerance. It is one of the best festivals combining different shows and concerts with international artists from different regions and countries, conferences, a race through the desert as well as an Amazigh Berber traditional wedding.

Merzouga is a stunning small village in southeastern Morocco, about 20 kilometers from the Algerian border. The village is most famous for his sand dunes, the Erg Chebbi. The erg is 22 km long and 5 km wide. Its dunes reach a maximum height of 150 meters.
