The Isni N Ourgh International Amazigh Film Festival in Agadir has announced the jury teams for its Amazigh and international competitions, adding a new programming milestone ahead of the festival’s 17th edition from October 1 to 5, 2026.

SNRT News reported that each competition will feature 10 films. The announcement follows earlier confirmation of the films competing for the National Amazigh Culture Prize in the Amazigh film category, a prize connected to the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture.

The festival, commonly known as FINIFA, has become one of the most visible annual platforms for Amazigh cinema. Its 2026 edition is being organized in Agadir in partnership with local and regional institutions, including the Souss-Massa region, the Agadir municipal council and IRCAM.

Earlier reporting on the prize jury named a panel drawn from cinema, audiovisual work, research and Amazigh cultural expertise. The wider jury announcement now broadens attention from the national prize category to the festival’s full competitive structure, including the international section.

For Amazigh cinema, the Agadir event is more than a screening calendar. It functions as a meeting point for filmmakers, critics and cultural institutions working to strengthen production, distribution and public recognition of films in Amazigh languages and themes.
