Rif diaspora communities will hold several different rallies in many major cities across Europe such as Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona and madrid on Saturday October 28 through Sunday 29, to commemorate the first anniversary of Mouhcine Fikri’s tragic death,—crushed to death in a garbage truck, as he attempted to retrieve fish that had been confiscated by Morocco police—and protest the political repression and the detention of hundreds of peaceful protesters in the Rif region, crushing the hopes of those who desired a more democratic future.[ads1]
