Alhambra Palace to Become Permanent Home of a Large Amazigh Museum

ALHAMBRA

Granada — A permanent Amazigh museum is to be created in Alhambra, an ancient palace, fortress and citadel located in Granada, Spain, visited each year by thousands of tourists from around the world.

The UNESCO World Heritage monument will also host a large exhibition on the Amazigh legacy in partnership with the Moroccan-Amazigh businesswoman Laila Mezian Benjelloun, based on agreement reached by the Andalusian Government during last visit to Morocco, which also includes the lunch of a Great permanent Amazigh museum.

Minister of Culture and Historical Heritage, Patricia del Pozo, has announced the launch of the exhibition “La Granada zirí y el universo bereber”, which will be open until April 2020, the entire exhibition is curated by Antonio Malpica.[ads2]
