On Friday, the Recording Academy announced its nominees for the Grammy Awards, which will be held on Sunday, Feb. 10. Amazigh artist Bombino has been nominated on Category 54 for Best World Music Album.
Bombino is an internationally acclaimed Amazigh-Tuareg guitarist and singer-songwriter from Agadez, Niger. His music frequently addresses Tuareg geopolitical concerns and is sung in the Tuareg language of Tamasheq.
