Canadian music outlet Exclaim reported that the band announced the change through its official social channels, saying the team had tried to keep the tour in place before concluding that the dates had to be postponed.
The interruption is significant for fans of desert blues because the Canadian dates were tied to Hoggar, the group’s recent album and a project that reconnects Tinariwen with acoustic desert traditions while reflecting the upheaval that has pushed members of the band across borders.
