Béjaïa is set to host the 16th edition of its local cultural festival of Kabyle music and song from 31 October to 4 November 2026, according to an announcement carried by Algeria Presse Service (APS).

The state news agency reported on 26 October that it had learned of the dates from the event’s organizers. The announcement identifies the event as the Festival culturel local de la musique et de la chanson kabyles, placing it in the city commonly known in Kabyle as Bgayet.

For Amazigh music audiences, the festival adds a current cultural date in Kabylie’s autumn calendar. At the time of writing, APS’s notice does not name the participating artists, venues, daily schedule or ticketing arrangements. Those details should be confirmed with the organizers before any event listing is expanded or promoted as a complete programme.
